The city of Vienna is planning to further expand its cooperation with religious communities in terms of vaccinations. As is well known, you can currently get vaccinated at St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Now the vaccination bus, which is already visiting heavily frequented places, is to stop at the institutions of other religious communities. Coming Sunday the 15 August the vaccination bus will stop at the Austrian Sikh religious community in the Langobardenstrasse in the Danube city.
And also mosques are to head for the inoculation bus according to the office of the health city councillor Peter Hacker. The exact plans are still compiled “these days”. It applies to clarify above all permission and place conditions locally. In general, certain days are agreed with the respective religious communities on which the bus passes. “And they then promote the offer among their members,” says a spokesperson.
The general tour schedule of the vaccination bus is available online. Registration is not necessary, an identity card and an e-card, if available, are sufficient. This weekend, the bus will be heading for Kagraner Platz, Stadtpark and Simmeringer Bad.
